On Monday’s season nine premiere episode of Two And A Half Men, the show opened with Charlie Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper’s funeral. During the eulogy, Jon Cryer’s character, Alan, is interrupted by a string of Harper’s ex-girlfriends who’ve claimed he gave them sexually transmitted diseases.
Sources have revealed that Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, was approached with an offer of $100,000 to appear at the funeral. A source said, “They wanted to bring back a real ex.”
A friend of Richards’ said that it was hard to walk away from the offer, but she did so to avoid upsetting her ex-husband. The pal said, “She really wants to get back into TV. But Charlie would’ve gone crazy, and Denise knows where her bread is buttered.”
After Harper was killed by a train in Paris, the new “man child” on the series is Walden Schmidt, played by Ashton Kutcher.
