‘The Walking Dead’ Fever Hits Florida Town During Blackout

Published

on

The Walking Dead fever is so real that one Florida town issued a “Zombie” alert during a short blackout on Sunday.

Town officials of Lake Worth are scrambling to explain why a public alert informing residents of an electrical failure included the warning that Zombies were on the loose.

The alert stated that more than 7,000 customers lost power “due to extreme zombie activity.”

The blackout lasted less than an hour, but City spokesman Ben Kerr was forced to post a Facebook message afterwards assuring residents that town officials were investigating the bogus alert and that he wanted to “reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently.”

It seems some wag hijacked the emergency alert system and included the false claim. Other news reports state, however, that there was some panic and it seems some citizens bought into the fantastic claim.

So, is a TV show responsible for inducing panic? It reminds us of the “War of the Worlds” radio scare of 1938 which was revealed to be a misguided Halloween prank put over by Orson Welles.

Of course, that hoax made Welles world famous. Is somebody in Florida trying to do the same?

It would be well to remind everyone that there’s no such thing as walking dead zombies.

Right?

Was the XXXTentacion murder a hit? By Drake?

Was the Xxxtentacion murder a hit?

Soon after rapper XXXTentacion was murdered on Monday, police were quick to say they thought it was a robbery gone bad by three men who committed a crime of opportunity.

But just days later, rumors are swirling that the murder was really a hit because of eyewitness accounts leaking onto the web.

The story goes like this:

XXXTentacion, without his bodyguards, visited a Miami motorcycle dealership and was followed into the parking lot by 3 men in an SUV. They exited the lot and parked down the street.

A short time later, as XXXTentacion was driving away, they blocked his vehicle, ran up and shot him three times below the neck and, without stealing anything, quickly drove off.

The witnesses swear it was a hit because… the guns were equipped with silencers.

But, it gets even more bizarre.

Now there’s a rumor flying that Drake was allegedly behind the “hit” because his song, “I’m Upset” has lyrics eerily predictive of the actual murder.

In it, he calls out XXX by name and threatens to shoot him three times “below the neck.”

Despite what the cops are saying, most people believed from the very beginning it had to be an organized hit.

We might soon find out.

Just yesterday police arrested tattoo artist Dedrick D. Williams for the crime and were executing warrants for two other men wanted for questioning.

Drake wasn’t one of them…

Kristen Wiig is really busy these days.

Because her upcoming schedule is so packed, she’s had to pick between starring in an AppleTV series or a lead role in Wonder Woman 2.

Care to guess which one she chose?

Duh!

WW2, natch!

That’s not to say the AppleTV show (You Think It, I’ll Say It) wouldn’t have been hilarious and a critic’s and audience darling too. It’s just that, well, you know… it’s Wonder Woman!

Actually, she won’t be playing the title character.

Kristen Wiig is going to be stretching her wings (again) as the supervillain Cheetah.

Although she’s played some pretty dark characters in the past, we should get to see another dimension of her unique talent as she plays against both sides of the light.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a jock for the last decade or so, Kristen Wiig has been lighting up both the big and little screens after knocking them dead on Saturday Night Live and moving on to movies with her impressive starring (and writing) turn in Bridesmaids.

As if her decision wasn’t anguishing enough, it turns out Kristen Wiig has plenty more to stress over.

She’ll be doing her first musical with Will Ferrell called “Everything’s Coming Up Profits” and scribing a new movie with writing partner Annie Mumolo titled “Barb and Star go to Vista Del Mar.”

And, oh yeah, a voiceover in the upcoming animated film “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and another dramedy called “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?”

Whew! That’s some sked!

If she keeps this up she’ll be so famous that when she goes out in public, Kristen will have to wear dark glasses and a.. Wiig?

Sorry. Couldn’t resist…

Why “The Situation’s” Proposal is the Sweetest Thing Ever

Published

on

Mike Sorrentino “The Situation” finally proposed to his now fiance, Lauren Pesce on this episode that aired tonight at 8 p.m. on MTV. AND THE WAY THAT HE DID IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

As most of you guys know, the shore house is now being held in Miami, Florida and “The Situation” flew his the girlfriend Lauren Pesce to the shore house to PROPOSE TO HER. The way he does this is incredible.

The night of the proposal, Mike took Lauren out to a fancy dinner while his roommates helped set up the candles, flowers, doughnuts, and dinner placements. It took the roomies 2 hours to clean up and set up for Mike to propose.

When Lauren walked through the balloons and flower coated hallway, beautiful music was playing, and a huge slide show appeared near the pool saying,

“Lauren, you’ve been there through my toughest times. You’re my best friend and my better half. I wouldn’t be the man I am today without you by my side.”

Then he did the damn thing. He got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes, and the two sat at the decorated table full of cupcakes, doughnuts, and amazing pastries.

Overall, such a perfect proposal and I couldn’t be happier for the couple and for Mike for changing and becoming so much of a better man.
