Let’s face it. Binge-watching is the new must-see-TV and Netflix is undoubtedly the leader when it comes to catching up on favorite TV shows and movies. Or discovering them for the first time.

Either way, the old Broadcast/Cable business model is dying off and Netflix has emerged as a serious Hollywood contender for new content.

Even so, it gets old slogging through all the titles and can be a serious downer if nothing new pops up right away.

That’s where we come in.

Here’s a select list of TV shows and movies coming on to Netflix this week. (6.25 – 7.1.18)

So, what are you waiting for?

BINGE!

Hotel Transylvania: Season 1 (June 25)

This hugely popular movie trilogy has been adapted to a TV series and Netflix is picking up the tab.

Secret City (June 26)

Netflix is becoming the Go-To destination for all kinds of international content and this show is no exception. Set in Australia, but with some American characters, this murder-mystery with an edge of evil government conspiracy may just set the whole “G’day, Mate” phenomenon going again. This time, around the world…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (June 26)

The newest installment of the historic franchise sees Rey take on her powerful role as the remaining Jedi… Blah, Blah, Blah… we get it. It’s Star Wars. Take our money already…

GLOW: Season 2 (June 29)

The Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW) return for a second season on Netflix and, if the success of the first season was no fluke, expect this gritty (and surprisingly edgy for Netflix) series to explore the many issues society throws at women who like to kick a little butt every week.

Harvey Street Kids (June 29)

DreamWorksTV partners with Netflix, introducing an original animated series that should appeal to Powepuff Girls fans. Follow along as Audrey, Lotta, and Dot rule (and terrorize?) the neighborhood on and around, you guessed it, Harvey Street.

Enjoy!

Kylie Jenner has a GoFundMe page

Published

on

By

Soon after Forbes Magazine declared that Kylie Jenner is on track to become one of the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, comedian The Fat Jewish created a fundraiser campaign on GoFundMe for Jenner.

In the August issue titled America’s Women Billionaires, Forbes Magazine estimated Jenner’s net worth to be $900 million, taking into account her product endorsements, reality show deals including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie Cosmetics line and the Kendall + Kylie clothing line.

The Fat Jewish, also known as Josh Ostrovsky, created the “LET’S GET KYLIE JENNER TO A BILLION” GoFundMe page to help Jenner, 20, push her net worth to $1 billion.

“Kylie Jenner was on the cover of Forbes Magazine today for having a net worth of 900 million dollars, which is heartbreaking. I don’t want to live in a world where Kylie Jenner doesn’t have a billion dollars. WE MUST RAISE 100 MILLION DOLLARS TO HELP HER GET TO A BILLION, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. LINK IN BIO TO DONATE,” he detailed in the campaign mission statement.

Ostrovsky, 36, shared to his 10.5 million Instagram followers (@thefatjewish) the link to the GoFundMe campaign.

The campaign has so far raised $98 in donations by 19 people.

To further add controversy following Forbes Magazine labelling of Kylie Jenner as ‘self made billionaire,’ social media are in an uproar with the crowd funding effort.

Ostrovsky received criticism on his Instagram post such as:

katrinamaruani – I hope this is a joke… otherwise this is #embarrassing considering there’s children without food in this very moment”

natalieatsplants – That money better be donated to a worthy cause. Why should we care if she’s only made a million dollars. this is ridiculous.”

kris5556 – let’s donate to wash all that makeup off at the end of the day but we have half the us on food stamps please”

Forbes reported that Kylie Jenner’s $900 million net worth has superseded older sister Kim Kardashian West, valuing at a net worth of $350 million.

Since the launch of Kylie Cosmetics two years ago, Jenner has sold in excess of $630 million worth of makeup.

In light of the fundraising campaign, PageSix reported that donations will given away if the campaign does not reach the $100 million target.

Ostrovsky said, ‘All money will be donated to something awesome, like a charity that feeds people who don’t have food’.

It looks like the pop princess is ready for a residency return to Vegas!

Britney Spears, 36, wrapped up her four-year Piece of Me residency at Planet Hollywood in December 2017.

The singer is reportedly in negotiations for a two-year show, commencing in 2019 at The Park Theatre, in The Monte Carlo.

Mirror reported that as part of the deal, Spears will earn $500,000 per show – a deal that will make her the “highest-paid woman on the Strip, beating Celine Dion.”

An exceptional deal that is too good to refuse. And it looks like the 36-year-old singer is steering towards taking on the deal.

A Vegas insider revealed: “Britney has pretty much verbally agreed to return for a very significant fee.”

Executives at Caesars Entertainment declined to extend the Toxic singer’s deal at Planet Hollywood, where Spears was previously raking in $400,000 per show.

Another perk to the deal is Spears does not “have to sing all the lyrics” – a skill that Spears is known to be a master at.

A residency come back cannot be at a more better time than in 2019. The show debut will coincide with the 21st anniversary of Spears’ smash hit single, Hit Me Baby One More Time.

Spears previous Las Vegas show, Piece of Me, grossed $138 million.

Fans were given glimpses of the lavish occasion via Instagram, including Big Bang Theory co-star Mayim Bialik’s post.

Ok let’s party!!! #kcsquared 💋 💕

The actress first dated Cook, a 26-year-old professional equestrian – in March 2016 – after their first encounter at a horse show.

On her 32nd birthday – in November 2017 – Cuoco got engaged to Cook, who is the son of billionaire businessman and Intuit software co-founder, Scott Cook.

In a recent People magazine interview, Cuoco described her future husband as her “soulmate” and is her “perfect match”.

“He lets me wake up in the morning and say, ‘I want to go and rescue rabbits.’ And he’s like, ‘Alright, let’s get a coffee and let’s go.’ And that is him. We are the same, our views are the same, our morals are the same, he is my perfect match.”

Cuoco was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, 30. The pair separated in 2015 after being married for just 21 months.

The 32-year-old opened up in Cosmopolitan: “I honestly thought I wouldn’t get married again. My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault – that was his. I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive. I knew just to be patient… I had to go through a lot of things, but it brought me to Karl.”

Congrats to the newlyweds!
