Everyday Self Care Routine Ideas

Falling into a rut is something I SWEAR I’m best at. Sometimes, it happens slowly, and sometimes all at once. I’ve realized that a really great way to get myself out of these unmotivated slumps is to switch up my self care routine.

And who else to get inspired by self-care routines than by the famous and inspirational, Demi Lovato.

As many of her fans know, Demi Lovato struggles with self care and mental illness. As blinding as fame can be, sometimes even celebrities need to take a break sometimes and take care of themselves. Here’s a short list of all the things Demi Lovato does (and I do as well) that is an awesome start to your new self care routine.

  • Working out. POINT BLANK, enough said.
  • PAMPER YOURSELF!!! (put on a new face mask, paint your nails, do whatever you do that makes you feel happy, and feel confident).
  • Write down 5 things EVERY MORNING that you are thankful for.
  • Wake up 10 minutes earlier than you usually do.
  • Read more for pleasure, not for school, not for work, for you.
  • Love yourself, self affirmations are super important, especially once you start to believe them.
