2018 has been a year of surprises and personal changes for normal people and celebrities alike. It turns out that Taylor Swift got a new boyfriend…and kept quiet about it! In fact, the relationship was just confirmed when the lucky guy posted pictures of the two of them hanging out with a cactus on his Instagram page. Sounds like a fun date. So who is this lesser-known lover?

His name is Joe Alwyn, a 27-year-old British actor. Apparently, this sharply dressed gentleman inspired many of the songs on Taylor’s most recent album, Reputation. While she wasn’t complaining about haters and imaginary hardships in her life, the singer was swooning over this mystery guy. One example of her creative genius can be found in the lyrics to Dress: “Flashback when you met me/Your buzzcut and my hair bleached/ Even in my worst times, you could see the best of me.” This is a reference to the 2016 Met Gala where they reportedly met for the first time.

So what does the future hold for Swift and Alwyn? Joe’s acting career is looking good, and he chose to go public with this high-profile relationship at the perfect time. The actor is currently promoting the movie Operation Finale. And after failing to make the cut for this year’s VMA’s, Taylor Swift decided it was time to focus more on cats. Seriously. The singer is in the process of filming Cats: The Movie, adapted from the Broadway musical. If one thing’s for sure, this girl knows how to take being a cat lady to the next level.

Taylor Swift kicked off the UK leg of her Reputation tour at Manchester Etihad Stadium on Friday, June 8, honoring individuals that were killed or injured during a terror bomb attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester last year.

The 28-year-old took a moment during her concert to address the crowd: “You’ve shown that you’re never gonna let anyone forget about those victims. And you’ve shown that you have such incredible resilience to keep dancing and to keep the innocence and to keep the joy and to keep the joy.”

Swift continued her heartfelt message: “I just want to say, Manchester: It is such an honor to play for you tonight,” before launching into an acoustic performance of “Dancing With Our Hands.” It was reported the audience was very emotional during the song.

It was evident that Swift’s message during her concert resonated with her online followers.

It was at the same venue that a terror bombing took place during Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman tour on May 22, 2017. In excess of 500 individuals and 22 lives were killed during the deadly attack. Consequently, the “One Love” concert featured global superstars which was held in last June to pay homage to victims and survivors of the attack.

According to Billboard reports, Swift’s Reputation tour grossed over $54 million from the first five shows, making it to be one of the highest-grossing tours in history.

Yeah, we get it Taylor Swift’s reputation isn’t the greatest… WE GET IT, WE KNOW. But we got to give it to her for her latest album, it is 100% BOMB and I am still not over it.

Her album isn’t only about men, it’s about girl power. She also makes fun of herself in some of the songs, and no better way to get people to get over the past than to bring it up again but in a funnier way which makes is 100 X’s better.

Her album is more techno and less pop country. Taylor Swift has obviously grown as an artist, and her new songs show this. They aren’t all depressing like most of her olds ones, and you can actually bump to them while driving windows down in your car! “Reputation” is my personal favorite, it’s so catchy upbeat.

Overall, I think that Taylor Swift has really matured and grown as both an artist and a person and it has been showing through her music and through her actions!
