Imagine being more famous than most of the world combined since the day you’re born. This is the reality for Cardi and Offset’s newborn baby, Kulture. Despite busy schedules, celebrity drama, and Offset’s multiple cheating schedules, the couple are closer than ever. And it’s all thanks to the little bundle of joy called Kulture.
If you’re a fan, you’re probably dying to catch a glimpse of her. But Cardi has some reservations about exposing her daughter to the world of fame. According to a source from Hollywood Life “Cardi is very superstitious and she worries that showing Kulture’s face will make her a target for bad energy from her haters.” So how are the couple going about concealing their daughter?
Cardi trolled everyone at the VMA’s on August 20th by carrying a bundle of pink blankets onstage and telling fans “I got a little surprise for you.” Were we finally going to see what all the fuss was about? Not at all. It turns out that Cardi put a moonman trophy under the blankets instead, disappointing absolutely everyone. Offset must have been in on the joke too, right?

Nope. The Migos rapper apparently had no idea that Cardi was going to pull the stunt and was pissed off because he truly thought she was going to reveal their baby without consulting him. Was this a power move to prove dominance over the media’s coverage of her? It’s possible. If anything, it was just a result of two adults not knowing how to communicate beforehand.
Nevertheless, the couple finally gave fans what they were asking for earlier this week…kind of. Cardi posted this adorable family photo on her Instagram page:
I mean, you can sort of tell that they’re holding a baby. However, the little girl’s features are 99% concealed aside from part of her head. Based on Cardi and Offset’s strong attitudes about parenting, this is probably the most that we’re going to see for a while.
Will Kulture grow up to have a normal life? Her parents can’t hide her away forever, unless they want to homeschool her and lock her in their house. But for now, minimizing the negative effects of the media on their child is probably the best thing for her.
